The Visual Psychology Method is Noa Green's approach to directing people who don't feel natural in front of a camera. It combines constant verbal direction (you never improvise a pose), body-based tension release — shaking out the places you hold stress, whether that's your hands, jaw, or forehead — breathing and grounding techniques like closing your eyes and resetting, and constant dialogue that keeps genuine expressions surfacing between the poses, where the realest photos live. The method was developed over 17 years and featured on Lifetime TV.
Nothing like the assembly-line headshot experience most people have had before. The studio is private — no other clients, no waiting room, just you and Noa. Every session is fully directed: posing, expression, lighting, and angle are all coached in real time. Wear what you feel confident in — clothes that represent how you show up in the world. The most important thing is that you feel like yourself. In terms of colors, stick with what you naturally gravitate toward — your go-to wardrobe already has a palette that works for you. The one thing to avoid is heavy patterns or large logos, which can compete with your face in the frame. Bring 2–3 options and a detailed prep guide is sent after booking with more specific recommendations for your session type.
Yes — with Signature sessions, loved ones are welcome to join for the final 10–20 minutes, complimentary, for family, couple — or fur baby — portraits. The timing is deliberate: we do your headshots and branding work first, so by the time they walk in you're already relaxed and comfortable on camera — which makes for far better photos together. Having someone watch from the very start can add pressure, which works against the process. Many clients end up turning these final frames into wall art and albums — they're often the most treasured images of the whole session.
